If you have a brand new project idea you are willing to bring to life, the first step is to fill out and submit this document. Any supporting material must be sent to [email protected] with your name and your project’s name in the subject line.

Are you willing to lead a project but don’t have an explicit idea? Not to worry! Take inspiration from the list of projects below and follow the same project proposal procedure to get the idea off the ground.

Possible Project Ideas:

• Lunabotics (NU Robotics x SEDS Crossover!)
  • NASA Sponsored robotics competition - This is a two-semester, virtual challenge, designed to educate college students in the application of the NASA Systems Engineering process that may culminate with the design and build of a prototype Lunar robot.

Reviving/Sustaining an Existing Project

NU Robotics has several past projects which have gone dormant since the pandemic. There are also several current projects whose leads may be graduating within the coming academic year. If either of these situations applies to a project you are interested in leading, here is how you can get started.

1. Reach out to the existing lead. If this is a project gone dormant that does not have a current or recent lead, reach out to Naomi Cooke!
2. Gather interest in your project. Remember: a minimum of three members is needed to start a project through the club!
3. Fill out the Project Proposal Form linked above. In the project description, be sure to mention that this is a revival project!
